October 30: Nick Arvin, Jason Masino, Sarah Perry, & Josh Clark

Join us on October 20 at Fort Greene for the next installment of the Reading Den series.

The event is free and open to the public, and begins at 7pm. We are no longer requiring free registration for our events. Just show up and enjoy the readings and community.

Nick Arvin is the author of four books of fiction, including the novels Mad Boy and Articles of War. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal, and has been honored with awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the American Library Association, and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is also an engineer. His newest novel will be published by Europa Editions in April 2027.

Jason Masino received his BA in Dramatic Art from UC Davis and his MFA in Poetry from Regis University. His poetry has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize and has appeared in Cultural Daily, Inverted Syntax, South Florida Poetry Journal, Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora, among others. He is the author of Sinner’s Prayer (Passengers Press, 2022), and his second collection, rx: demonology, is forthcoming from Fifth Wheel Press in 2028.

Sarah Perry is the author of the essay collection Sweet Nothings: Confessions of a Candy Lover, which was a finalist for the 2026 Colorado Book Award. Her previous book, a memoir titled After the Eclipse: A Mother’s Murder, a Daughter’s Search, was a 2017 New York Times Editors’ Choice. Her essay, “In Praise of the Gas Station Pie” for Cake Zine was nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s 2024 M. F. K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award and received an Honorable Mention in The Best American Essays 2024. She is an Assistant Professor of creative writing at Colorado State University.

Josh Clark is a writer, graphic designer, and bookseller. He is a writer of genre fiction for adults and young adults. Josh has published 30+ stories that have appeared in Amazing Stories,The Lunatics Project Podcast, Shacklebound Books, and more.
